Did you know that most of the Toronto museums offer a baby-friendly event? Here’s 5 to check-out:
Bata Shoe Museum – runs a guided stroller tour once a month. At the moment it is at 11 a.m. the last Wednesday of the month.
Art Gallery of Ontario – has a “Strolling the Galleries” tour once a month as well. Their 1 hour tours runs every first Tuesday of the month. They have two tour options – 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. or 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. If you are a member the cost is only $5!
Royal Ontario Museum – The ROM Baby & Me programming is more a commitment, but having done it twice personally I can 100% say you won’t regret it! Their 6 week program takes you into a different gallery each week and if you are lucky enough to have Beverly as a guide you will learn a lot!
Museum of Contemporary Art Toronto – this newer museum doesn’t have a specific baby event or tour (yet!?), but they have recently introduced TD Community Sundays. Once a month (on a Sunday) you can visit this museum for free which is awesome!
Aga Khan Museum – now this is the museum in Toronto that I wish had a stroller tour! Their museum and grounds (especially in the summer) are gorgeous! Even though they don’t have a baby friendly event I would recommend visiting as there’s a lot to see. I may be biased as I lived in Turkey for many years, but I just love the art from that region!
